Riot Society Invitational

RIOT SOCIETY COLLAB BEER INVITATIONAL 2024 Winners

We have contacted our winners & a public announcement of the winners will be on Thursday at 4pm EST. Congratulations!

1st Place: HALF-BAKED INSPIRED IMPERIAL STOUT

Philippines-sourced cacao nibs, Indian vanilla beans, toasted coconut, marshmallow, brownie batter.

2nd Place: DOUBLE IPA WITH MARSHMALLOW & RASPBERRY

Double IPA (Citra and Strata hops) conditioned with raspberry and marshmallow. Something I’ve never seen from HSAW! Would love to see your spin on a sour IPA.

3rd Place: COQUITO INSPIRED IMPERIAL STOUT

I know many breweries probably do something similar but with Tampas large Hispanic population, specifically Puerto Rican population, I think this would be really cool. My grandpa was obsessed with it; he taught my mom how to make it and after his passing, my mom taught me how to make it. We make it for Christmas every year as a gift for friends and family.

Runner-up: ELOTES (MEXICAN STREET CORN) INSPIRED CREAM ALE

Something refreshingly different for the ramp up of another brutal Florida summer. Lime zest and coriander on top of a corn rich base accented with dried chilies and naturally lactose to emulate the crema.

Runner Up: SQUEEZIT INSPIRED SOUR ALE

I used to love squeezits as a kid and looked forward to them being packed in my lunchbox going to school. Why were they discontinued? It’s a cold case file but you should bring it back with a beer flavor pack. Mean Green Puncher, Chucklin' Cherry, Smarty Arty Orange, Berry B. Wild, Silly Billy Strawberry, Grumpy Grape, and Rockin' Red Puncher.

The judges

We had so much fun reading through all the recipes we received. You all really get us & understand what our brand is all about. We appreciated the creativy and how you thought through what we do. We also LOVED the diversity. The Tampa community is rich with culture & heritage. While some of our own team members have roots in Central America, the Philippines, & Cuba, we’re happy to serve a greater & much needed diversity in craft beer that reflects the Tampa community.
